City International School (CIS)
Why another school?
The goal of establishing CIS was not to create yet another good school, but rather to set up a laboratory for experimental work in education.

What's different?
Many things are different about the school as described below. It is not so much what is done differently but in what direction CIS directs its educational effort that is different. With its objective to inspire children for life, it defines education more broadly and provides for a highly structured and personalized programme of learning that challenges a student at his/her level.

How will my child do better?
CIS baselines a child's starting point at the beginning of each term through the GEMS "Dynamic" Formative Surveys. It then creates a personal learning programme for each child & matches each to personalised learning materials. By being more informed about  personal strengths & areas for improvement, along with learning materials at their level, each child becomes a natural partner in their learning process. Since the goal is to improve & show progress, & each child knows how to get there. Every child feels “I can” instead of “I can't.”

What does it cost to get an international education?
The cost of education at CIS is competitive at the city level (see CIS, DEVI and Teacher's Training College Fees). When the children reach the IB (www.ibo.org) level, the costs will escalate as foreign fees are involved but those who choose the CBSE option will continue to enjoy international education at local costs.
The DEVI school fees are much lower for a CBSE curriculum in the afternoon shift.
