On the 2nd of March, the 1st Lucknow District Sub-Junior Kung – Fu Championship was organized by the Lucknow Kung – Fu Association at the Dragon Academy. Five Club participated in the tournament.
The City International School team consisting of 17 members participated in the tournament under the guidance of Coach Monojit Lahiri and the team almost swept the tournament of medals.
The 17 member team from City International School won 10 Gold medals. 6 silver medals and 6 Bronze medals.
Karuneshvar Chaturvedi of CIS won the Best Sub-Junior Light Sand Player award, Rajat Srivastava of CIS won the Best Junior Light Sanda Player award and Harshit Srivastava won the Best Youngest Player award.
The ten Gold medalists are will be participating in the 1st Uttar Pradesh State Sub-Junior Kung – Fu Championship scheduled for April – May, 2008.
